Chocolate Orange Oatmeal Recipe

Hi loves! I have been desperate to share this recipe with you ever since my boyfriend and I perfected it a few weeks ago. This was our 3rd attempt and BOY OH BOY was it worth the wait! Oatmeal is without a doubt my favourite breakfast food. Healthy, warming and packed with energy it is the perfect way to start the day (especially when smothered in nut butter and eaten straight out of the pan!). I hope you enjoy this as much as we did.

Chocolate Orange Oatmeal

Ingredients

1/2 cup rolled oats

1/2 cup water

1/2 cup non-dairy milk

1 large orange

1 tbsp cacao or cocoa powder

1 tbsp agave or maple syrup

1 scoop vegan protein powder (optional)

1 tbsp ground flaxseed (optional)

Toppings:

satsuma segments

Sweet Freedom chocolate shot

Profusion cacao cashew butter (or other nut butter)

granola

Method

  1. Add water, milk and orange (peeled and broken into segments) to a food processor and blend
  2. Combine orange-y liquid with all other ingredients in saucepan
  3. Gently heat, stirring occasionally until smooth and creamy
  4. Add desired toppings and enjoy!
